Position Summary
Trideum Corporation is seeking candidates who are passionate about Air and Missile Defense (AMD) modeling and simulation (M&S) used for operational testing of the System of Systems (SoS) in the upcoming Integrated Fires Test Campaigns (IFTC). The selected candidate assists in the capability integration to create a multi-domain operations environment for the operational testing of signature modernization efforts for the IFTC. Additionally, this position will act as a liaison with the Operational Test Command (OTC) Innovation Cell (IC) and Army Research Labs-University of Texas for the Systems Engineering and Integration (SE&I) efforts in support of the development of the Multi-Domain Operations (MDO) Environment required for IFTC Test and Evaluation. The selected candidate works with Program Managers, vendor systems integration labs (SIL), and vendor facilities to work hand in hand with AMD Test Directorate (TD) and the vendor engineers. The selected candidate must have a technical degree/background with M&S experience and prior service as an ADA Officer or Warrant Officer with AMD military tactical experience.
The selected candidate will work at the Air and Missile Defense Test Directorate on Fort Bliss, Texas with a hybrid of both in office and remote work (minimum of 4 days a week in the office). This position supports scenario creation of operationally realistic environments that enables the integration of SIL and vendor test beds, assists AMD Test Directorate (TD) with the Verification and Validation of modeling and simulation tools and works as the liaison to the Operational Test Command (OTC) Innovation Cell (IC).
This is an exciting opportunity to be a part of the development of the MDO environment required for IFTC test and evaluation events. The candidate must be able to work extensively with cross-functional teams to achieve customer and corporate goals.
What You’ll Do
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Work closely with the customer to:
- Verify model is feeding into Engagement Operations Center (EOC) or command & control (C2) nodes
- Compare radar data to the System Under Test (SUT) and M&S track data
- Develop a list of truth values matched to M&S tracks
- Plot and count tracks to validate
- Correlate SUT parameters to the parameters within M&S
- Confirm that the SUT represent the threat as the M&S tool intended
- Define metrics to be met from an operational perspective tied to metrics produced in V&V report
- Conduct analysis against metrics to determine what is met for full accreditation, conditional accreditation, and no accreditation.
- Develop Test and Evaluation scenarios in coordination with the AMDTD team that:
- Creates a simulation environment enabling the build of system nodes with updated and correct system parameters.
- Contain operationally realistic environments so PM can integrate into GSIL or Vendor test bed.
- Coordinate with PM to understand their models to integrate elements that are conducive for accreditation documents.
- Serve as the liaison with the OTC IC and ARL-UT for the SE&I study and:
- Assist AMDTD with IC tasks for MDO Use Cases and SE&I study
- Assist AMDTD with M&S development and integration tasks
- Provide advice and assistance for Roadmap long-range investment strategies
- Provide a lesson learned report.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design and execute the automation of a strategic investment roadmap.
- Support AMD TD during the vendor V&V process, to allow AMDTD to articulate V&V results in operational context and provides observations on inconsistencies in the data and provides analysis on the reported results.
- Less than 25% travel may be required.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited school in a technical discipline (engineering, mathematics, science, computer science/engineering)
- 10 years of related military experience
- Experience with Air and Missile Defense Modeling and Simulation
- Understanding of the Verification and Validation Process for modeling and simulation tools for inclusion into operational test events
- Background in developmental or operational testing
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Familiarity with DoD systems and processes and ATEC Reg 73-21 VVA 22Jun2023, TOPM 73-182 TT VVA Apr2023, MIL-STD-3022 Documentation of VV&A for Modeling & Simulation 5 APR 2012, and DoD Manual 5000.102 M&S VV&A for OT&E and LFTE
- U.S. citizenship and an active DoD Secret Clearance is required
