Position Summary
Trideum Corporation has an opening for a Payroll Accountant. This is a full-time position, located at our corporate office in Huntsville, AL.
What Youll Do
This position is primarily responsible for processing biweekly payroll for a government contractor with multiple government contracts and employees in multiple states and countries. Responsibilities include, but are not limited to:
- Working with the Payroll Manager, process payroll every week on a bi-weekly basis using Deltek Costpoint accounting software in conjunction with ADP systems
- Handle payroll information associated with employees changes such as new hires, terminations, wage verification, pay rate changes, benefits, garnishments, direct deposits, military pay, and leave time
- Review employee timesheets for compliance with company policies
- Import labor records from timekeeping systems as needed
- Ensure that required Federal and State payroll and tax reports are filed timely and accurately through ADP
- Reply to payroll inquiries from employees, managers, and external auditors
- Report any payroll-related issues to accounting management team
- Support corporate accounting functions including general ledger, billing, accounts receivables, accounts payable, and other analyses.
- Support internal and external audit activities
- Assist in the consolidation and reporting of monthly financials to executive and program management
- This position requires <10% travel
Required Qualifications:
- Associate's degree in accounting or business-related field is preferred. Equivalent years of work experience or accounting-related coursework can be substituted for a degree.
- 3-5 years of Payroll processing experience
- Experience with multi-state payroll processing
- Experience working in the government contracting industry
- Familiarity with payroll requirements related to the Service Contract Act
- Deltek Costpoint experience or similar (Unanet, Jamis, SAP, etc)
- Experience with ADP or similar systems (Workday, UKG, etc)
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelors or masters degree in accounting or Business-related field
- Experience in international payroll environments
