We are seeking a dedicated and skilled Experienced Laborer to join our team specializing in underground telecommunication fiber installation. This role is essential in supporting the expansion and maintenance of critical telecommunication infrastructure. Responsibilities
- Assist in the installation, maintenance, and repair of underground telecommunication fiber systems.
- Operate and maintain tools and equipment, such as trenchers, hand tools, and compactors, to ensure safe and efficient operations.
- Perform manual labor tasks, including digging, trenching, conduit placement, and backfilling.
- Prepare worksites by organizing materials and ensuring proper site safety measures.
- Collaborate with team members and supervisors to complete projects on time and according to specifications.
- Conduct on-site problem-solving and adjustments to maintain workflow efficiency.
- Ensure compliance with all safety standards, policies, and protocols throughout the project.
Requirements
- High school diploma or equivalent; vocational training in construction or telecommunications is a plus.
- Proven experience in underground utility work, fiber installation, or similar labor-intensive roles.
- Willingness to travel to various locations.
- Familiarity with trenching, conduit installation, and fiber optic cable handling is preferred.
- Strong physical stamina and the ability to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
- Excellent teamwork and communication skills.
- Valid driver’s license (CDL preferred but not required).
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including overtime.
