Description:
We are seeking an experienced HSE Coordinator to join our privately owned company, specializing in petroleum and chemical bulk storage management. The HSE Coordinator is responsible for helping to oversee, implement, and maintain health, safety, environmental, and quality policies and procedures throughout the chemical warehouse operations. The ideal candidate has experience in ensuring compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, promoting a safe working environment, and minimizing the environmental impact of operations. The HSE Coordinator will have experiencing in air permitting, with knowledge of TCEQ and EPA regulations.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
· Ensure environmental compliance including air and water permits.
· Plan and direct daily safety meetings.
· Conduct and document safety audits and inspections of the warehouse.
· Participate in Company’s audits, including ISO Audits
· Perform time sensitive inspections: daily, weekly, monthly, quarterly, and annual inspections.
· Ensure visitor and contractor compliance while on site.
· Maintain PPE inventory.
· Conduct new hire safety orientation.
· Assist in developing, implementing, and maintaining health and safety programs that comply with regulatory requirements and industry best practices.
· Investigate incidents, accidents, and spills to complete reports and ensure appropriate follow-up actions are taken.
· Work closely with all other departments to promote safe work practices and drive continuous improvement in safety performance.
· Promote a strong safety culture by conducting regular safety meetings and awareness campaigns.
· Ensure compliance with OSHA, EPA, and other relevant health, safety, and environmental regulations.
· Maintain records of safety inspections, incident reports, and training sessions to ensure audit readiness.
· Coordinate waste management, including hazardous waste disposal and recycling programs.
· Participate in emergency response planning.
· Conduct regular drills and training sessions to ensure readiness for potential emergency situations.
· Help organize Safety Committee meetings to identify potential safety issues and recommend corrective actions.
Required Skills:
· Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health, safety, and environmental role, preferably in the chemical or warehousing industry.
· Strong knowledge of OSHA, EPA, and other relevant regulatory requirements.
· Excellent communication, organizational, and analytical skills.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite and HSE management software.
· Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and enforce safety standards.
· Ability to work overtime with some weekends for training sessions or emergencies.

Pay: From $80,000.00 per year
