Senior Director, Cybersecurity Risk Management

We are looking for a Senior Director of Cybersecurity Risk Management to support Management in understanding, mitigating, and managing cybersecurity risks. In this role you will establish, lead, and uphold a robust information security program including policies, standards, processes and procedures to collaboratively enable business capabilities and services to be performant, reliable, and secure.

The pay range for this position in Western Washington varies between $145,530.00 – $210,735.00, and for Eastern Washington varies between $121,660.00 - $176,170.00. Washington Dental Service and its affiliates, including Arcora Foundation, Delta Dental of Washington, and TriForza intends to offer the selected candidate a base pay within this range, dependent on job-related, non-discriminatory factors such as experience. Base pay will also be adjusted based on the candidate's geographic location.

• Develop and articulate cybersecurity risks informed by probability and impact from threats and vulnerabilities to protect sensitive information and brand reputation.
• Develop strategies including goals, roadmaps, and operational plans and financial implications to continuously improve the security posture of the organization and mitigate risks.
• Manage cyber risk governance to ensure management is aware of risks, mitigation tactics, current events and trends, and ownership of risks.
• Develop financial, operating and management models that clearly describe cybersecurity resource allocations and needs across Triforza products and client organizations.
• Develop Triforza’s cybersecurity brand with current and prospective clients.
• Partner with the senior management team and key business partners (audit & risk, legal, compliance, operations, human resources) to plan and implement information security projects to meet key business objectives across the organization.
• Build, mentor, and develop a high-performing and cohesive team by providing strategic direction and opportunities for employee development, fostering creativity, collaboration, and accountability to support the company’s ambitious goals.
• Develop secure processes and systems used to prevent, detect, mitigate, and recover from cyberattacks with strong exposure to firewalls, encryption, and other technology-based safeguards.
• Lead incident response efforts in the event of a cybersecurity breach or incident, including coordinating with internal teams and external partners to mitigate the impact and ensure timely resolution and communication.
• Negotiate and manage external relations with tenants, contracting firms, application developers, third-party vendors.
• Developing security awareness programs and training initiatives to educate employees and partners on cybersecurity standard processes and procedures.
• Scope, evaluate, select and lead implementation and adoption of innovative security technologies and tools into the enterprise that support current business needs and handle future growth and complexity.
• Create technical standards, policies, and quality assurance procedures for infrastructure and application development to meet compliance and regulatory requirements, industry standards, and recognized guidelines like HIPAA and SOC controls.
• Drives continuous improvement across security capabilities by identifying evolving cybersecurity threats, events, and market dynamics across business ecosystems to evaluate potential impacts and prioritize strategic focus areas.

Experience, skills, and education do you need to have to succeed in the position: The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to successfully perform the essential functions of the position.

• 10 years’ experience in technology management and/or consulting, with experience information security, cybersecurity, and change initiatives.
• Information Security Industry Certifications preferred (CISSP strongly preferred) Audit certification (CISA or equivalent, CISM strongly preferred)
• Proficiency in Cyber security tools, especially endpoint solutions, intrusion prevention systems and data loss prevention systems.
• 10 years building and leading teams.
• Proficient in information security principles, practices, and technologies, including network security, application security, cloud security, and endpoint security.
• Superior written and verbal communication skills to engage with partners and with external information security and privacy professionals.
• Solid understanding of HIPAA and external risk assurance frameworks (i.e., NIST, HITRUST, ISO 27001, COBIT, PCI DSS) and audit standards (e.g., SOC 1 & 2, Model Audit Rule) and Information Security Best Practices.
• Ability to build consensus, make decisions based on many variables, and gain support for major initiatives.
• Able to demonstrate cost benefit analysis and business case development
