Position Overview
We are seeking a highly skilled and reliable individual to join our team as a Building Maintenance Technician.
Job Summary:
The successful candidate will be responsible for performing routine custodial activities, including cleaning classrooms, offices, locker rooms, and adjacent grounds areas, as well as performing minor repairs and maintenance tasks.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain buildings, locker rooms, and adjacent grounds areas in a clean, orderly, and secure condition.
- Perform routine custodial activities, such as sweeping, scrubbing, mopping, waxing, and polishing floors, and vacuuming rugs and carpets.
- Clean classrooms, restrooms, showers, locker rooms, shops, cafeteria, offices, and related facilities as assigned.
- Use cleaning materials, equipment, and methods according to pre-determined standards.
- Maintain tools and equipment in clean working order and provide proper security.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma or G.E.D.
- Ability to perform heavy physical labor and work in a fast-paced environment.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to follow oral and written directions and meet schedules and time lines.
