Reporting to the Chief of the Strategic Management Office (SMO) and/or the Head of EPMO of the UNJSPF/OIM. The Consultant is required to have the following professional and technical qualifications.
Job Responsibilities:
? Manages and monitors a portfolio of programs, projects, and initiatives related to Model Factor Based Portfolio (Total Portfolio Approach), Alternative Investments platforms (Private Equity and Real Estate assets), Responsible Investment, Financial Data Warehouse, Artificial Intelligence, Operational and Third-Party Risk Management, etc.
? Ensures compliance with the programme management framework, including strengthened governance mechanisms, appropriate communication management, dependency management, and documentation templates.
? Identifies program level risks, issues, resource constraints, etc; proposes corrective actions; liaises with relevant parties; identifies and tracks follow-up actions.
? Assists and augments the project management resources for assigned programs/projects , in collaboration with the business stakeholders, executive sponsors, and information technology team, by planning facilitating workshops, through other interactive sessions and assisting in developing the required documentation and artifacts that will be used to manage the work within scope, time, and budget.
? Acts as a programme/project management advisor and subject matter expert in order to build and maintain relationships across the wider stakeholder community both internally and externally and increase project excellence.
? Provides project management training to Citizen Project Managers who may require additional guidance.
? Works closely with the Investments teams, Risk & Compliance teams, Data Analytics & Business Applications teams, and Technology teams, as well as relevant stakeholders and external vendors.
? Performs any other duties as needed.
Academic Qualifications and Experience:
? Advanced university degree (Master?s degree or equivalent) in business administration, management, economics or a related field. A first-level university degree in combination with qualifying experience may be accepted in lieu of the advanced university degree.
? At least five (5) years of experience in managing business driven programs in the financial industry (e.g. pension fund, asset management, investment banking or insurance sector).
? Certification in project management (Prince2, PMP, or equivalent) and/or program management (MSP, PgMP, or equivalent).
? Experience managing Financial Technology projects related to ICT Infrastructure, ICT Security, and IT Service Management platform (ServiceNow), ITIL 4 Foundation certificate is desirable.
? Experience with Microsoft suite of products Powerpoint, Excel, Project, Sharepoint, Lists, Planner
? Experience with Business Intelligence tools (e.g. PowerBI) and Project Portfolio Management solution (e.g. Meisterplan) is desirable
Language and other skills:
? Fluency in English, including the ability to set out a coherent argument in presentations and group interactions.
? Ability to tailor communication style to different audience including technical stakeholders, business sponsors, and senior management.
