What are the responsibilities and job description for the QA Tester position at Trigyn Technologies, Inc.?
Job Details
Trigyn's direct client based out of Louisiana has a long-term contract assignment for QA Tester. The particulars of the position are as follows.
Roles and responsibilities:
? Primarily serve as a quality assurance software tester
? Reviewing requirements and/or user stories to develop and execute test cases, scenarios and/or scripts
? Document and report test outcomes, including logging bugs or defects
? Develop a test plan, monitor and report progress, and identify and manage dependencies
? Testing all aspects of application components for compliance with the provided specifications and user stories. Ex: usability, functionality, exploratory, system, smoke, monkey, and compatibility testing
? Coordinate test activities, including technical and security testing, with other team members
? Provide technical/non-technical knowledge transfer of testing processes.
? Develop and/or assist with project work plans, timelines, status reports, release notes, and other documentation; disseminate information as needed.
? Participates in all necessary team meetings and design sessions in accordance with Scrum ceremonies.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are mandatory:
? Three (3) years of experience with quality assurance testing of application software using varied testing methodologies
? Three (3) years of experience in developing, identifying and validating appropriate test scripts and test data that ensures software functionality meets end user expectation.
Expertise and/or relevant experience in the following areas are desirable but not mandatory:
? Relevant software QA certifications
? Prior experience as a Business Analysts or Product Owner
? Prior experience documenting user stories or gathering requirements from stakeholders
? Prior experience creating user guide or onboarding materials
? Familiarity with Azure DevOps
? Previous work on a dynamic SCRUM team.
