Job Description
The Programmer will be part of a team responsible for modernizing client’s Laboratory Information Management System (CLIMS) applications. This position will analyze PowerBuilder code of the existing application for translation to business requirements of the new application as well as support the existing application functions. The Programmer will perform application development tasks including researching and documenting technical designs, programming solutions, writing and executing unit test plans, researching, resolving, and testing defects, customer technical support, and close collaboration with other team members.
Mandatory Qualification:
• Creates computer software. May specialize in one area of computer software or may write code for many kinds of software.
• Candidate is able to provide guidance to large teams and/or has extensive industry experience and is considered at the top of his/her field.
• 84 months of experience developing applications utilizing PowerBuilder.
• 84 months experience developing applications that interact with an Oracle database, including creating custom PL/SQL, stored procedures, triggers, and other objects.
• 84 months experience analyzing and documenting complex business rules, processes, and workflows, including documenting architectural design with UML or similar modeling language to produce class, data flow, activity, and sequence diagrams.
