Job Overview
The Director of Facilities Operations is responsible for overseeing the daily operations of the hospital maintenance department, ensuring the proper functioning of buildings, grounds, utilities, and systems equipment.
- Manage a comprehensive program of preventative maintenance activities to ensure utilities, environmental systems, and other building systems operate properly and efficiently.
- Prioritize, coordinate, and assign work through verbal instructions/directions, hospital work requests, and meetings with supervisors.
- Develop and maintain a record-keeping and reporting system in compliance with OSHA, TJC, and State/Federal organizations.
- Supervise a team of up to 30 staff members, including supervisors, lead mechanics, and technical personnel.
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree.
- 4-5 years of experience in management, preferably in a healthcare environment.
- Knowledge of technical or engineering workings of hospitals and experience with Joint Commission and CMS standards.
