Job Overview:
Under the direction of the departmental Manager, this position is responsible for the safe, efficient and reliable operation of the facilities and all MEP systems within the organization, overseeing the daily operations of the maintenance function. This includes but is not limited to the programming and installation, repair and preventive efforts of one or more of the following areas: HVAC, Power Plant, electric systems, plumbing systems, grounds keeping, alarm systems, mechanical operations (tube system, bed repair, blanket warmers etc.) and snow removal. These duties also include assigning work based on priority and daily checking of work performed. Accountability encompasses service excellence, human resource issues, fiscal management, quality improvement compliance and communication. Emphasis should be placed on creating a positive environment that fosters professional growth and retention.
Job Requirements:
Associate's Degree or Diploma in Construction Trades Equivalent experience accepted in lieu of degree
Must be familiar with all applicable codes and procedures Must be able to interpret blueprints and specifications Must be familiar with trades and skills supervised
Must have supervisory initiative and skill
3-4 years experience in Healthcare
