About the Role:
As a Part-Time Maintenance Manager (BOG Team Member), you’ll handle general property upkeep, minor repairs, and facility maintenance to ensure our storage units and grounds remain clean, accessible, and secure for tenants.
This is an independent contractor (1099) position with a flexible schedule—perfect for someone seeking supplemental income while managing their own time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Facility Maintenance – Ensure all storage units, doors, and locks are in working order
- Basic Repairs – Address minor issues such as door jams, weather stripping, and gate malfunctions
- Grounds Upkeep – Keep common areas clean, remove trash, and perform light landscaping as needed
- Security Checks – Monitor facility access points, gates, and lighting to maintain a secure environment
- Basic Computer & Tech Use – Assist with access control systems, security camera checks, and tenant communications
- Reporting & Communication – Provide updates on maintenance needs and completed tasks to management
Who We’re Looking For:
✔ Self-Storage Experience a Plus – Familiarity with storage facility operations is a bonus but not required
✔ Tech-Savvy – Comfortable using basic computer and internet applications for tracking work and communicating with management
✔ Reliable & Self-Sufficient – Works independently and manages time efficiently without supervision
✔ Detail-Oriented – Identifies and resolves maintenance issues before they become major problems
✔ Flexible & Adaptable – Willing to handle a variety of tasks as needed
✔ Physically Capable – Comfortable with light lifting, bending, and being on your feet
Job Details:
- Schedule: Flexible; set your own hours (avg. 10-12 hrs/week, max 20 hrs)
- Pay: $16.00 - $20.00 per hour (1099 independent contractor)
- Location: Bellefontaine, OH
- Note: This is a 1099 contractor position, not a W-2 employee role
