We are seeking an experienced Bar Manager with ambition, vision, and creativity to oversee every aspect of the bar operations.

In this position, you will play a key role in handling day-to-day operations of the bar and manage the bar staff. Roles and Responsibilities
Leadership
● Inspire a passionate team culture in support of consistent execution of Trillium’s goals
● Drive a culture of continuous improvement and strive for operational excellence by collaborating with cross-functional teams
● Lead, inspire, and educate restaurant staff to achieve their defined goals and results, consistently monitoring performance and creating development plans
● Partner with Human Resources to address employee relations issues; identify appropriate training and/or coaching opportunities and follow-up to ensure effective, legally compliant, and consistent resolutions are reached
● Provide positive, actionable solutions when faced with challenges
● Ensure that Handbook policies, procedures and standards are maintained and followed in a consistent and fair manner
Bar Operations
● Monitor inventory and merchandise to ensure adequate stock levels and to prevent excess pours or abuse by staff and report variances
● Conduct daily inventory transfers in coordination with the Sales Operations Manager
● Manage counting process for packaged beer by batch
● Calculate variances based on sales reports
● Report closing inventory (and variances) to Sales Operations Manager
● Oversee cleanliness of staff and physical bar area, paying special attention to possible health hazards and code violations
● Review sales and beverage costs, and reconcile any discrepancies in accounting. Ensure proper cash management
● Resolve customer complaints promptly and according to company guidelines
● Oversee the preparation of beverages and ensure quality of product served
● Coordinate daily counts of physical inventory of all finished goods
● Operational supply management and ordering for consumable supplies
● Follow appropriate procedures for serving alcohol (e.g., TIPs)
Additional duties may be assigned as necessary
Desired Qualifications & Experience
● Minimum two years’ experience working as a manager in a restaurant environment with exceptional guest service skills
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
● A deep passion for craft beer is a must and knowledge about the brewing process is a bonus
● Willing to work a flexible weekend schedule (Friday- Sunday) including nights and holidays
● Analytical skills and a solid understanding of business management practices and strategies
● Ability to work independently, as well as lead, manage, and motivate a team
● Confidence and business acumen to delegate staff effectively based on business conditions
● Must be able to remain calm under pressure and communicate clearly, with composure and enthusiasm, to guests and staff
● Organized and efficient with great attention to detail
● Move, lift, carry, push, pull, and place objects weighing less than or equal to 25 pounds without assistance and objects weighing in excess of 50 pounds with assistance
