Trillium Construction is now hiring a Mechanical Quality Assurance/Quality Control (QA/QC) Specialist for a direct hire opportunity with a full-service design-build company in Norfolk, VA.
This position plays a critical role on the Operations Team and is responsible for ensuring the quality, compliance, and documentation of all mechanical system fabrication, installation, and testing on active job sites. The QA/QC Specialist will ensure that all mechanical and plumbing work is completed per project specifications and RFP requirements. This role is based in Norfolk, VA—local candidates are preferred, but relocation may be considered for the right individual.
Federal/Government construction experience is required.

Responsibilities:
- Oversee and verify mechanical system installations and testing for compliance and quality.
- Ensure work aligns with project specs, RFPs, and government regulations.
- Document acceptance of work and maintain detailed QA/QC records.
- Interface with project teams and subcontractors to maintain quality standards.
Qualifications:
- Must have prior experience working on federal/government construction projects.
- Combination of field experience and training may be qualifying (e.g., 10 years as a Superintendent or QC Manager for a mechanical subcontractor 2 years in construction).
- BA/BS in Construction Management, Mechanical Engineering, or related field preferred but not required.
- Specialty inspection certifications and training highly desired.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office, Outlook, and general computer literacy required.

- CPR & First Aid
- OSHA 30-hour
- Army Corps of Engineers Construction Quality Management (CQM)
- Army Corps EM385-1-1 40 Hour Safety preferred.
Salary : $90,000 - $120,000
