Solar Safety Manager (6-Month Contract) – Chatham, VA
Pay up to $45/hr
We are seeking a Solar Safety Manager for a 6-month contract to oversee safety compliance on a solar construction project in Chatham, VA. The role involves implementing and enforcing OSHA and site-specific safety protocols, conducting safety audits and training, and ensuring a safe work environment for all personnel.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and enforce safety policies and procedures.
- Conduct site inspections, hazard assessments, and safety meetings.
- Ensure compliance with OSHA, company, and project-specific safety standards.
- Investigate incidents and implement corrective actions.
- Provide safety training and support for site personnel.
Qualifications:
- OSHA 30 certification required (OSHA 500 preferred).
- Experience in solar or renewable energy construction safety.
- Strong knowledge of fall protection, electrical safety, and heavy equipment operations.
- Excellent communication and leadership skills.
