TPurpose of Position:This position is responsible for identifying growth opportunities, building relationships with current and potential customers, and generating revenue by proactively reaching out to potential clients, nurturing leads, and converting opportunities into sales. Responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting sales and sales data to support the company's sales strategy. Expected to track key performance indicators (KPIs), forecast sales, and identify opportunities for improvement in market share and profitability within the sector.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Identify and qualify potential leads through research and inbound inquiries to build a robust sales pipeline.
Engage with prospects to understand needs, provide product information, and recommend solutions to meet their requirements.
Meet or exceed monthly/quarterly sales quotas and key performance metrics.
Prepare presentations, proposals, and contracts.
Develop an in-depth understanding of the company’s products/services and effectively communicate features, benefits, and competitive advantages.
Maintain accurate records of all customer interactions in the CRM system and manage the sales pipeline.
Manage the sales process from order to delivery.
Collaborate with marketing, customer service, Engineering and Business Development teams and other key individuals to optimize lead conversion and customer satisfaction.
Conduct follow-up to ensure customer satisfaction and identify additional sales opportunities.
Stay updated on market trends, competitor activities, and customer preferences to enhance sales strategies.
Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in engineering, business, sales or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3 years of sales experience in the aerospace and defense.
Demonstrated experience with communicating complex product information.
Proficient in CRM software (NetSuite, Salesforce, HubSpot) and Microsoft Office Suite.
Demonstrated experience converting sales to meet or exceed sales targets and quotas.
Physical Demands of Position:
Physically able to lift up to 20 pounds (materials/equipment)
Effective use of computer, laptop, cell phone and other mobile device to exchange information.
