Purpose of Position: The Production Technician Lead will oversee daily activities and guide a given team of Production Technicians, ensuring the efficient and accurate assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of electro-mechanical systems.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
Supervise Production Technicians, ensuring they adhere to production schedules, quality standards, and safety protocols.
Provide technical guidance and support to technicians in the assembly, testing, and troubleshooting of gimbal systems and components.
Identify opportunities for process improvements, implement best practices, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and quality.
Collaborate with Engineering teams to support new product introductions and process changes.
Train new technicians on assembly procedures, safety protocols, and common production practices. Conduct ongoing training to keep the team updated on new technologies and processes.
Monitor the production process to ensure all products meet quality standards and specifications. Conduct regular quality checks and implement corrective actions as necessary.
Coordinate with the Production Manager to manage resources, including materials, tools, and equipment, ensuring efficient use and availability.
Coordinate with the supply chain team to maintain an adequate supply of materials.
Maintain accurate production records, including work orders, inventory logs, and quality reports. Ensure all documentation is up to date and compliant with company standards.
Ensure all team members adhere to safety protocols and guidelines. Promote a culture of safety within the production team.
Ensure proper maintenance, calibration, and operation of production equipment and tools.

Education and Experience Qualifications:
5 years of experience in a production or manufacturing environment, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or lead role, preferred. Experience in electro-mechanical systems, preferred
Demonstrated experience in assembly, testing, and troubleshooting. Proficiency in reading schematics and technical drawings.
3 years experience with mechanical and electrical systems.
3 years experience with ESD protocols and best practices for handling sensitive electronic components.
3 years experience with production management software and basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite.
Physical Demands of Position:
Physically able to lift up to 50 pounds (materials/equipment)
Effective use of computer, laptop, cell phone and other mobile device to exchange information.
