Purpose of Position: The Supply Chain Analyst is responsible for optimizing inventory, improving operational efficiency, driving cost reduction, and leveraging data-driven insights for continuous improvement. This role involves analyzing data, identifying trends, and improving efficiency across procurement, inventory management, logistics, and distribution. The analyst works closely with Engineering, Planning, Materials, Production, MRO, and Finance to effectively analyze, track, and optimize key cross-functional processes.
Summary of Essential Job Functions:
- Analyze demand patterns, consumption trends, and supply variability to optimize inventory levels, balancing service levels with working capital efficiency.
- Lead and execute inventory optimization initiatives to maximize working capital and support corporate objectives.
- Monitor inventory levels and trends, providing actionable insights to improve inventory health through data-driven recommendations and KPI tracking.
- Perform root cause analysis on inventory discrepancies and variances, identifying patterns and driving corrective actions.
- Leverage data visualization tools (e.g., NetSuite Analytics, Power BI, Tableau) to create dynamic reports and dashboards for improved decision-making across Operations.
- Coordinate and lead the implementation in Operations of the company's data warehouse and business intelligence application.
- Support Sales, Inventory, and Operations Planning (SIOP) by providing data-driven insights
- Maintain accurate records and sound data hygiene, ensuring master data integrity in ERP and related systems.
- Collaborate with Finance to assess the financial impact of inventory activities, including write-offs, reserve adjustments, and costs associated with holding and/or disposing of inventory.
- Drive continuous improvement projects that enhance Procurement, Production, Planning, Scheduling, and Inventory Management practices, leveraging Lean/Six Sigma principles where applicable.
- Deliver actionable insights to senior leadership, influencing strategic decisions with data-backed recommendations.
- Other duties as assigned.
Education and Experience Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Finance, or equivalent work experience with an associate degree.
- 3 years in supply chain, inventory analysis, or materials planning, preferably in manufacturing.
- Demonstrated experience in inventory management, demand planning, and supply planning, with experience addressing inventory challenges.
- 3 years leading process improvements and implementing technical solutions, with familiarity in Lean, Six Sigma, or similar methodologies.
- Proficiency in ERP systems (NetSuite preferred), data visualization tools (NetSuite Analytics Warehouse, Tableau), and advanced Excel skills.
- Demonstrated experience using analytical skills to interpret complex data; ability to exercise independent judgment in strategy management; knowledge of government compliance (ITAR, DFARS), preferred.
