What We’re Looking For

We are seeking a Practice Management Consultant with expertise in NC Medicaid Adult Behavioral Health and experience in monitoring medical records to ensure the quality and compliance of services delivered by Trillium’s contracted providers. This role plays a critical part in supporting individuals with Severe and Persistent Mental Illness (SPMI) by facilitating recovery-oriented services, including (ACT), (CST), and (TMS). As part of our team, you will ensure that these essential services align with Trillium’s mission to promote community inclusion and stability. This position is integral to Trillium’s efforts to meet the requirements of the Department of Justice Settlement Agreement The role requires a deep understanding of Federal, State, and Accreditation standards in behavioral health, ensuring compliance and quality across the board.

On a Typical Day, You Might

  • Participate in Department of Justice (DOJ) reviews.
  • Develop, implement, and monitor initiatives to overcome barriers.
  • Represent Trillium in the Provider Fidelity Review process.
  • Assist external stakeholders as it relates to ACT, CST and TMS services.
  • Schedule, coordinate, and perform ACT, CST and TMS provider monitoring.
  • Collect and report data.
  • Facilitate meetings.

Qualifications

Education: Bachelors, Masters, or Other (must be fully licensed)

Preferred Education: Prefer Human Services degree.

Experience

Required Experience:

Professional experience in North Carolina Medicaid funded services.

Must meet Mental Health QP status to include professional experience in North Carolina Medicaid funded service:

  • Fully licensed by the NC governing board regulating Human Services professions; OR Fully licensed RN who is licensed to practice in the state of NC by the NC Board of Nursing who also has four (4) years of full-time experience with the MH/DD/SA population served.
  • A graduate of a college or university with a Master’s degree in a human service field and has one year of full-time, pre or post-graduate degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the MH/DD/SA population, or a substance abuse professional who has one year of full-time, pre or postgraduate degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a human service field and has two years of full-time, pre or post-bachelor's degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the MH/DD/SA population, or a substance abuse professional who has two years of full-time, pre or post bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • A graduate of a college or university with a bachelor's degree in a field other than human services and has four years of full-time, pre or post-bachelor's degree accumulated MH/DD/SA experience with the MH/DD/SA population, or a substance abuse professional who has four years of full-time, pre or post-bachelor's degree accumulated supervised experience in alcoholism and drug abuse counseling.
  • Strong knowledge of state and federal rules, requirements, and practices related to the MH/DD/SA system in North Carolina.

Preferred Experience

  • Experience working on a team or as a team lead for Assertive Community Treatment, Community Support Team, and/or Transition Management Services (ACT, CST, and/or TMS).
  • Experience with Quality Management processes and/or tools commonly used for monitoring and auditing purposes

License/Certification: Only if qualifying as an RN.

Must have a valid driver’s license

Must reside in North Carolina to be considered for remote status
