The interns will assist with various IT assignments related to Network Management, IT Project Assistance, Help Desk Support and Inventory Management and IT Team Site Design and Development of Technical Training Videos & Resources. All internship opportunities will also have an emphasis on Cyber Security best practices. The internships are designed to provide hands-on experience in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, offering valuable insights into the field of Information Technology.Interns will be paired with an Information Technology expert who will serve as the interns’ mentor. The mentor will teach, guide, and collaborate with you on your projects or assignments.

Key Job Responsibility Areas
- Networking Internship: Support network configuration, troubleshooting, and maintenance tasks.
- Port Tracing and Labeling: Develop a network port inventory process to better track, assign and record all switch and network ports. Help with tracing network ports and labeling them accurately for better organization and management.
- Network Diagrams: Verify and update diagrams as needed.
- Inventory & Asset Management: Assist in tracking, organizing, and managing IT network inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and properly maintained. Assist with tracing devices on the network for asset management purposes.
- Customer Service & Help Desk Support: Assist with any end user tickets related to networking, wireless or telephone.
- IT Team Site Enhancement & Training Program Internship: Enhance the internal IT SharePoint and Teams site to provide a more robust end user resource center for IT related training and resources. The goal is to increase communication and collaboration within our portfolio of applications and tools.
- IT Training Videos: Contribute to the creation and editing of IT training videos to support staff education and development.
- IT Documentation: Create how-to resource guides, including screen shots, to assist with the following collaboration and communication platforms; Microsoft Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Co-Pilot AI and Dialpad phones.
- Review Help Desk Tickets and create resources that would minimize calls to the help desk.
- Help Desk Assistance: Provide support to the help desk team by addressing and resolving IT-related issues and queries from staff as appropriate.
- Help Desk Project Support and Inventory Management Internship: Assist with developing an inventory management system to track all help desk equipment, participate to add move and change related projects and assist with help desk tickets as appropriate.
- Project Support: Assist with tracking project related activity, including development of project plans and tasks. Participate in project related meetings, budget and procurement discussions and vendor relations activities.
- Inventory & Asset Management: Develop an inventory tracking system to assist in tracking, organizing, and managing IT Help Desk inventory, ensuring all equipment is accounted for and properly maintained.
- Customer Service & Help Desk Support: Assist with any end-user tickets as appropriate.
- Research: Conduct preliminary research for new IT projects to improve research skills.
- Cyber Security:
- All interns will assist in monitoring and maintaining IT security protocols on all projects and assignments.
- General IT Operations: All interns will assist and support the tasks or guidelines as outlined below.
- Assist in maintaining IT metrics and dashboards to ensure that the quality and delivery of IT services meet the desired targets.
- Promote effective, open communication, and develop collaborative working relationships with all levels of staff, clinicians, educators, researchers, and leadership.
- Contribute to enterprise-wide committees and task forces.
- Participate in new hire IT orientation, including welcoming new employees, deploying computers, orienting them on the devices and key resources. Ensure that new hires are set up with the necessary tools and resources to perform their roles effectively.
- Document technical support procedures: Maintain accurate records of support requests, resolutions, and other relevant information. This helps in tracking recurring issues and improving the overall support process.
- Assist with IT projects: Collaborate with other IT team members on various projects, such as system upgrades, network improvements, and new technology implementations.
- Assist with providing technical support to end users: Address and resolve technical issues related to computer systems, software, hardware, and network connectivity. This involves responding to help desk tickets, diagnosing problems, and implementing solutions in a timely manner.

- Currently enrolled in a degree program related to Information Technology, Computer Science, Cyber Security, Web Development, Digital Production, or a related field.
- Basic understanding of IT security principles and networking concepts.
- Familiarity with Network troubleshooting, help desk support, Microsoft Teams/SharePoint and video editing software is a plus.
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail desired.
- Effective communication skills and ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
- Eagerness to learn and adapt to new technologies and processes.
