Life Enrichment Aide

The Life Enrichment Aide provides fulfilling activities for residents and assists with meal service. This position will be performed in accordance with TANDEM LIVING Core Values, Mission Statement and regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• A high school diploma or equivalent .

• One (1) to two (2) years of experience in a skilled nursing or retirement community preferred but not required.

• Basic computer skills needed. Proficient with Microsoft Office, including Word and Outlook.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

• Plans, organizes, and implements activities for residents with various levels of abilities and interests. Regularly elicits resident input into activity planning.

• Provides opportunities for residents to time spent together in meaningful ways, not merely to fill time. 

• Displays knowledge of regulations regarding activities. Records resident attendance at group or independent activities and/or individual visits. Completes 1:1 visits with residents.

• Participates and attends care conferences. Assists in completing MDS sections pertaining to resident’s activity involvement and completes resident activity assessments with input from others.

• Assists with resident meal services as needed. Makes sure resident needs are met by assisting in various areas.

• Assists with admission, discharge, and transfer processes. Unpacks/packs resident’s personal belongings. Helps resident get acclimated to new room/surroundings.
