What are the responsibilities and job description for the Forklift Operator position at Trillium Staffing?
Forklift operator for a leading supplier to the automotive industry in Coldwater, MI.
This is 1st Shift 6 : 00 am to 5 : 30 pm, Monday - Thursday. Pay rate is $16.00 per hour.
Basic Responsibilities include, but are not limited to :
- Operate forklift or other hand truck
- Adhere to quality and customer service standards set forth by the company
- Perform cycle counts as required
- Inspect and perform maintenance of forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Identify safety hazards in the workplace
- Consolidate partial pallets for incoming goods
- Performs quality control inspections of materials
- Maintain proper documentation
- Keep area clean at all times
- Load and unload trucks
- Move and stack materials
- Keep production lines supplied with empty containers and packaging materials as needed
- Rotate floor stock
- General housekeeping duties in the warehouse or production area and duties as assigned
- Follow current good warehousing practice
- Receive / process shipments
- Perform proper forklift inspections and follow forklift operating guidelines and procedures
