What are the responsibilities and job description for the Manufacturing Process Optimization Specialist position at Trillium Staffing?
We are seeking an experienced Industrial Engineering Professional to join our team as a Continuous Improvement Process Engineer. In this role, you will be responsible for designing and implementing continuous improvement projects using lean manufacturing principles.
">- Evaluate existing manufacturing processes and recommend cost reduction programs to optimize production efficiency
- Calculate staffing requirements for assigned manufacturing lines and develop plans to ensure adequate labor resources
- Provide justifications for the purchase of equipment or changes in production methods to improve process effectiveness
- Develop space plans for all office and production equipment to maximize facility utilization
The ideal candidate will have a Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering, or a related field, and at least 3 years of experience in continuous improvement in the fabrication or manufacturing industries. A Six Sigma green belt or black belt certification is preferred, as well as project management and leadership skills.
This is a direct hire opportunity offering a competitive salary range of $95-120,000 annually, depending on experience, along with a full benefits package, paid time off, insurance, and 401K.
