Job Overview
Trillium Staffing is seeking a qualified Quality Control Manager with expertise in Concrete, Water/Wastewater Treatment Plant experience. This position will be responsible for establishing quality inspection programs and processes that ensure company requirements are met. The successful candidate will be located at our project office in Portland, OR, with a salary range of $120k-$135k.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with the Project Manager and Superintendent to discuss QC/QA project-related topics.
- Review and analyze submittals, RFI, and other contract documents related to projects, while implementing established project and company documentation controls.
- Interpret and analyze contract documents and discuss with the project team.
- Establish quality inspection programs and processes that ensure company and customer requirements are met.
- Develop and implement a quality management system for a project, service, business area, or geographic location, including water system master plans, hydraulic distribution system modeling, water audits, water quality studies, disinfection, water supply sustainability, water systems design (water treatment plants, pump stations, etc.), energy evaluations, water main replacement analysis, water vulnerability and emergency response, and Safe Drinking Water Program audits.
- Oversee the management of the monitoring and evaluation process to ensure that quality management systems are being followed and evidence is recorded and maintained.
- Provide guidance to employees within the latitude of established policies.
- Recommend changes to policies and establish procedures that affect the immediate organization.
- Work on issues of diverse scope where analysis of situation or data requires evaluation of a variety of factors, including understanding of current business trends.
- Act as an advisor to subordinates to meet schedules and/or resolve technical problems. May have budget responsibilities.
- Manage the coordination of activities of a group or department with responsibility for results. In some instances, may be responsible for a functional area and may not have direct reports.
Requirements:
- A minimum of 5 to 10 years of QCM experience on government projects, preferably.
- A minimum of 5 years of Water and/or Wastewater project experience.
- A minimum of 2 years of leadership experience, preferably.
- Willingness to work in a drug-free environment and agree to a post-offer drug test.
- Willingness to work safely and keep OSHA recordable incidents to a minimum.
- Ability to travel to other job site locations.
- Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations.
- Ability to write reports, business correspondence, and procedure manuals.
- Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the public.
- Knowledge of Spreadsheet software and Word Processing software, reporting tools related to databases.
- Ability to learn design software programs.
- Ability to work with mathematical concepts related to structural engineering and related calculations.
- Individual should have some level of business acumen, including knowledge of operating expenses, profit, etc.
- Ability to apply concepts such as fractions, percentages, ratios, and proportions to practical situations.
- May be responsible for directing Field Engineers and/or QA/QC Engineers.
Education and/or Experience:
- A BA/BS 10 years or demonstrated equivalency of experience and/or education.
Preferred Qualifications:
- A minimum of 10 years of Municipal Water and/or Wastewater project experience, preferably with 2 years of leadership experience.
- Experience in the following projects: Water & Wastewater Treatment Plants, Pump Stations, Water, Sewer, Stormwater, and/or Lift Stations.
- Experience with developing proposals, schedules, and budgets.
