We are seeking a Senior Audit Associate for an upcoming opportunity with a large federal customer. The ideal candidate will have knowledge of current Commercial and Government-wide policies and regulations concerning accounting standards, auditing standards, financial reporting and financial management. Additionally, the candidate shall have current knowledge of accounting principles and standards to ensure the CFO Act and related issues are effectively addressed.
This position is requires the candidate to work at the USCG HQ Located in Washington DC .

Primary Responsibilities:- Serves as a member of group of auditors who systematically integrate business, cost estimating, and financial management processes to improve program operations and performance.
- Assists in the formulation of strategic financial plans, prepares cost estimates and executable budgets.
- Assess products and or procedures for compliance with government standards, accounting principles, internal controls, and system application standards.
- Manage completion of work within the time frame specified by the client, ensuring that all requirements are met.
- Prepare milestone status reports and presentations for colleagues, subordinates, and end user representatives.
- Execute approach developed by project team leaders.
- Assist in developing draft methodology and procedural documents, assessments, summaries, evaluations and results reporting.
- Conduct research, gather and analyze relevant information, produce concise, accurate and timely reports based on analysis.
- Implement management tools as necessary to achieve objectives.
- Works independently with very broad direction from senior personnel.
- Bachelor's degree in accounting OR a bachelor's degree plus an active Certified Public Accounting (CPA) or Certified Government Financial Manager (CGFM) certification.
- 3 year of relevant government work experience.
- Experience auditing federal agencies financial statements OR performing audits readiness work in the Department of Homeland Security as a government employee or contactor directly in support of an audit readiness task order.
- The ability to obtain a Public trust
- The ability to work onsite in Washington, D.C., Monday to Friday.
