Infection Control/Wound Nurses coordinate treatments to provide comprehensive wound assessments and plan of care including goals, implementation of treatment, evaluation and outcomes for patients throughout the organization. Provides residents, family, and staff education regarding wound management, prevention of pressure ulcers, support surfaces, dressing selections and other therapies. What We're Looking For
Here’s what you’ll do when you join us:
- Oversight of the wound care program. Ensure wound measurements are obtained weekly and appropriate interventions are in place.
- Monitor Braden Scale results to place preventative measures for high-risk residents.
- Participate in campus skin sweeps.
- Completes scanning and attaching of resident documentation in MatrixCare to ensure Medical Records are complete and accurate.
- Makes written and oral reports/recommendations to the ADHS/DHS as necessary/required, concerning the operation of the nursing service department.
- Must possess, at a minimum, a Nursing Degree from an accredited college or university
- Must have and maintain a current, valid state RN/LPN license
- Current, valid CPR certification required
- Wound Care Certification (WCC)
- Infection Preventionist certification
