Social Services Support

Directs, plans and implements the Social Services Program and provides guidance on policies and procedures. Implements routines and a climate that enables residents to maximize their physical, mental and psychosocial well-being and quality of life.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Directs and ensures the quality and quantity of company campus social services to assure resident needs are met.
• Leads the planning, developing, organizing, implementing, evaluating and directing the social services campus staff to assure exemplary processes in customer service, resident engagement and life enrichment.
• Prevents and addresses resident abuse as mandated by law and professional licensure.
• Keeps current through use of internet/social media and other research venues with NASW (National Association of Social Workers) guidelines and/or changes regarding social services programming in health care.
• Acts as facilitator to all staff in the form of advice, sharing ideas, listening to problems, identifying needs in terms of quality assurance, staff development and role modeling.
• Leads the social service team in service consultation focusing on:
  • Social Worker
    • Review documentation and service delivery, this includes both written and electronic charting to meet and exceed state and federal guidelines. Communicates findings of review to campus.
    • Develop and maximize the social worker’s skills in psychosocial assessment, interviewing, documentation and treatment methods.
  • Management Staff
    • Review program planning, policy development, priority setting regarding social services and the function/role of the social worker(s).
  • Other faculty staff
    • Provide case consultation.
• Travel (50%) including overnight stay as necessary.

You would be a great fit for our team if you have the following:

• Bachelor’s degree in in social work
• LSW certification
• Must meet state requirements and regulatory codes for licensure certification
• Three (3) to five (5) years’ experience working in the field of social services in a senior residential care, healthcare, senior living industry or long-term care environment
• Exemplary computer skills that include knowledge of the Microsoft Office Suite of products
