Job Overview

This full-time position involves mechanical servicing, preventative maintenance, and repairs of fleet vehicles, which are primarily powered by gasoline engines, though diesel experience is a plus. The Fleet Mechanic will ensure vehicle safety and performance while adhering to company safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems on fleet vehicles using appropriate tests.
• Repair and maintain components such as motors, belts, pumps, fans, and air conditioners.
• Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, including DOT annual inspections.
• Manage materials and parts orders for repairs and replacements.
• Respond promptly to on-road breakdowns when required.
• Work in the shop or field as needed, depending on assignments.
• Follow safety protocols and wear proper safety equipment.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
  
  

Qualifications

• Proven experience working as a mechanic or in a similar role, preferably with fleet vehicles. Automotive certification is preferred.
• Proficiency in hydraulic systems, electrical repairs, and trailer maintenance and repair.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
• Must pass pre and post-employment drug/alcohol tests.
