Responsibilities
- Diagnose and troubleshoot mechanical problems on fleet vehicles using appropriate tests.
- Repair and maintain components such as motors, belts, pumps, fans, and air conditioners.
- Conduct preventive maintenance inspections, including DOT annual inspections.
- Manage materials and parts orders for repairs and replacements.
- Respond promptly to on-road breakdowns when required.
- Work in the shop or field as needed, depending on assignments.
- Follow safety protocols and wear proper safety equipment.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
- Proven experience working as a mechanic or in a similar role, preferably with fleet vehicles. Automotive certification is preferred.
- Proficiency in hydraulic systems, electrical repairs, and trailer maintenance and repair.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Valid Driver’s License with clean driving record.
- Must pass pre and post-employment drug/alcohol tests.
