Staffing Responsibilities
- Screening staffing candidates
- Helping new hires complete the application process
- Onboarding new hires regarding job specific duties, job specific safety prevention guidelines, assigned area standard operating procedures, job specific hazard analysis, GMPs, sexual harassment, and Paragon company policies
- Doing daily 5–10-minute safety/human resource tailgate meetings with small crews of 10-50 employees
- Ensuring customer receives desired daily staffing
- Daily phone calls, text messages, emails, Slack communication, and in-person communication with customer Plant Managers, Area Leaders, and Zone Leaders is required.
- Managing customer time clock record keeping for Paragon employees
- Resolve all missed punches
- Ensure all employees take their meal break prior to the 5th hour of work
Oversight Responsibilities
- Walking all areas of site where Paragon employees are staffed in order to monitor, visit with, and check on all Paragon employees
- Say hello to and check in with all Paragon employees; let all Paragon employees and customer staff know your schedule
- Let all Paragon employees know that you are their Paragon Site-Rep and that they may come to you with any payroll, human resource, or safety questions
- Check in with customer Area Leaders and Zone Leaders to ensure desired staffing level is being met, to ensure staffed Paragon employees are performing well, and to inquire about all Human Resource related issues
- Responding in-person to all safety accidents/incidents
- Complete annual First-Aid/CPR training
- Be able to provide basic first-aid treatment to injured employees
- Follow Paragon “Non-Emergency Response Procedures” and “Emergency Response
Procedures
- Work with Paragon Safety Team to ensure employee receives medical treatment if necessary
- Communicate with customer Safety and Operational staff to ensure customer is aware of the Paragon employee status
- Documenting via written reports all safety and human resource incidents (i.e. injuries, accidents, complaints, investigations, write-ups, etc.)
- Interviewing and collecting written statements from employees
- Being familiar with payroll check stubs in order to answer employee payroll check questions
- Being familiar with paid sick leave rules
Roles
- Recruiting, selecting, training, and developing processing plant employees
- Maintaining a safe, secure, and compliant work environment
- Overseeing and communicating with employees; assigning job titles and work schedules
- Enforcing policies, procedures, and productivity standards
- Enforcing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMPs), Food Safety practices, and Human Resource guidelines and regulations
Requirements
- Bilingual in Spanish and English
- Valid CA driver’s license with the ability to frequently drive and operate a vehicle

- Familiar with computers, does not hesitate to use computers to be more efficient
