Summer Camp Counselor (Seasonal)

Three Birds Farm is looking to fill multiple Summer Camp Counselor positions for our upcoming day camp. Counselors are responsible for providing an appropriately safe, caring, and enriching environment for the children (ages 5 - 12) enrolled in the program. Standard hours are Monday-Friday 9AM-3PM, however we do offer the option of early drop-off and late pick-up so additional hours may be available.

Three Birds Farm is a community and environmentally focused working farm, full of all the standard farm animals plus some adorable mini's! We have over 50 acres of green pastures hidden in West Cobb, and provide horse back riding lessons through our academy with Trilogy Sporthorses as well private party rentals, children's clubs and courses, and community events.

Camp will be more nature focused, with a promise to our parents that kids will come home tired and suitably dirty each day from our fun outdoor activities! As such, candidates will need to have a strong tolerance for the elements and enough energy to keep up with a group of no more than 8 kids throughout the day. Candidates must be at least 17 years of age, and should be outgoing, energetic, creative, organized and have some experience working with children. Animal experience is a bonus, but not required.

Candidates should have a strong understanding of customer service and must be committed to work the entire summer (May 27th – August 1st, with the week of July off), as well TBD weekend trainings during the month of May. Ideal candidates would be

• Teachers, art and PE backgrounds a plus
• College students, with teaching, physical exercise, and/or animal related majors being prioritized
• High School students with babysitting or lifeguarding experience as well as student athletes

Job Types: Part-time, Temporary

Pay: From $10.00 per hour

Expected hours: No more than 35 per week
