Churchill Consulting Engineers is seeking an entry-level structural design engineer to join our team working on projects for various local, state and regional agencies such as the New Jersey Turnpike Authority and the New Jersey Department of Transportation. As a Structural Engineer, you will be working in our design engineering group on infrastructure projects on structural and bridge design related tasks. This is an excellent opportunity to contribute to impactful projects and grow within a well-established consulting firm. Candidate should be energetic, self-motivated and eager to learn under the direction of experienced professionals.
Key Responsibilities
Preparation of technical reports
Structural calculations
Drafting of engineering plans and details
Preparation of construction documents for design projects
Field work to support design efforts
Attendance at meetings with clients and regulatory agencies
Collaboration with project managers, subconsultants and multidisciplinary teams
Skills, Knowledge and Expertise
Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering
0-5 years of experience in civil engineering
Engineer-in-Training certificate or Professional Engineering License
Experience with AutoCAD, MicroStation a plus
Experience in structural and/or bridge design a plus
Familiarity with New Jersey Department of Transportation and New Jersey Turnpike Authority standards a plus
Strong communication and technical writing skills
Excellent computer skills are required. Must be efficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook.
