Professional Traffic Engineer

CME Associates is a leading engineering firm specializing in transportation and infrastructure projects. We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Traffic Engineer to join our team in Howell, New Jersey. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of 10 years of relevant experience, along with a P.E. (Professional Engineer) and P.T.O.E. (Professional Traffic Operations Engineer) license. As a Traffic Engineer, you will play a critical role in designing and implementing traffic engineering solutions to enhance safety, efficiency, and mobility within our communities.

Responsibilities

• Traffic Planning and Analysis :

Conduct thorough traffic impact studies, traffic flow analysis, and capacity analysis to evaluate existing and proposed transportation systems.

Design and optimize roadway geometrics, including intersections, signals, signage, and pavement markings.

Design, evaluate, and optimize traffic signal systems to improve intersection efficiency and reduce congestion.

Identify potential traffic safety issues and develop strategies to mitigate risks.

Manage multiple traffic engineering projects simultaneously, ensuring timely delivery within budget constraints.
