DRMP's Survey Office in Boca Raton is GROWING and looking to add new members to their team! Entry-Level career opportunities are available in our Subsurface Utility Engineering (SUE) area! Training and mentoring are provided to assist in career development.
Your Primary Responsibilities will include
- Learn and develop an understanding of ASCE 38-02 standards and Quality Levels, including their applications (training provided).
- Receive hands-on training to assist with underground utility flagging ("designation") using ground-penetrating radar, electromagnetic equipment, and other geophysical tools.
- Provide underground utility flagging “designation”, including water, sewer, gas, electric, fiber optic, PVC, and all other underground facilities that would affect an excavation of a site.
- Marking said utilities with flags and / or paint and produce a sketch of results for future use by the client.
- Learn to operate vacuum excavation trucks and related equipment or perform manual digging ("hand dig") under supervision to verify utility characteristics.
- Assisting with maintenance of vehicles / trucks, equipment, and work sites.
- Researching all utilities that may be on a site prior to entering a site.
- Exercising extreme caution near or around any utility facility and follow all applicable job site safety parameters.
