Job Title: SAP Data Migration Lead
Work Location: Onsite – Monday to Friday, Santa Clara, CA office
Work Schedule:
· Full Time – Monday-Friday, 40 hours per week
· Overtime is not expected but could be possible based upon business needs and will occur only when requested and approved by manager
Job Description:
We are seeking a highly experienced SAP Data Migration Lead with over 15 years of SAP expertise, including a proven track record of leading 7 full life-cycle data migration projects in greenfield SAP implementations. The ideal candidate will possess advanced proficiency in SAP FICO, S/4HANA, SAP MDG, and Master Data Management (MDM) across domains such as Customer, Material, Vendor, and other critical business entities. Additionally, the candidate should have significant experience in data governance, ensuring consistency, quality, and compliance throughout the migration process.
Key Responsibilities:
· Lead and Execute Data Migration Projects: Oversee and manage the end-to-end data migration process for complex SAP landscapes, ensuring seamless and efficient transitions. Example: Leading data migration in a greenfield S/4HANA implementation for a global manufacturing client.
· SAP: Apply deep knowledge of SAP FICO, SAP S/4HANA, and SAP MDG to guide the team and stakeholders through the data migration phases. Example: Managing data migration and integration of SAP MDG for customer and vendor master data in a large-scale ERP upgrade.
· Data Governance: Implement and manage robust data governance frameworks, ensuring data accuracy, completeness, and integrity across all migration stages. Example: Developing data governance policies for a global retail chain to standardize material master data.
· Stakeholder Management: Work closely with functional and technical teams to understand business needs and ensure alignment between data migration activities and SAP business processes. Example: Collaborating with finance and logistics teams to ensure accurate migration of financial and inventory data.
· Migration Methodologies & Tools: Leverage proven methodologies and tools for data extraction, transformation, and loading (ETL) within SAP environments. Example: Utilizing SAP Data Services or LSMW for automated data migration in an SAP S/4HANA rollout.
Education:
· Minimum of Bachelor’s degree required
Experience:
· Minimum 15 years of SAP experience, with at least 7 successful full life-cycle data migration projects in SAP greenfield implementations.
· In-depth knowledge of SAP FICO, SAP S/4HANA, SAP MDG, and MDM (including Customer, Material, Vendor domains).
· Proven expertise in data governance, data quality, and compliance frameworks.
· Strong functional understanding of SAP business processes, paired with technical proficiency in data migration methodologies.
· Excellent leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
Requirements:
* Local Candidates only – Onsite, Santa Clara, CA
* Initial Assignment Length: 12 months with high possibility of extension depending on performance and team fit
