Basic Functions
Directs, creates, and controls quality policies and procedures to ensure that daily operations and products conform to quality standards and military/aerospace standards. Supervises and coordinates activities of Technicians and Inspectors engaged in inspecting and testing, components, and parts by applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
Comply with all requirements of International Standard ISO9001 and ISO27001, NIST 800-171, CMMC – Cyber Security and Informational Data Security Requirements. Aerospace Management System Standards AS9100, AS9120, IDEA-QMS-9090, ASA-100 and supporting construct standards AS6081, IDEA-STD-1010, AC7402-CAAP, CCAP-101, FAA AC00-56, ANSI/ESD S20.20. All employees shall commit and comply with the requirements of AS5553 for Counterfeit Electrical, Electronic and Electromechanical (EEE) Parts – Avoidance, Detection, Mitigation and Disposition practices.

Basic Functions

Supervises and coordinates activities of Technicians and Inspectors engaged in inspecting and testing, components, and parts by applying knowledge of quality assurance standards and procedures. This individual has the responsibility and authority to carry out assigned tasks.
SPECIFIC DUTIES
- Organize, plan, and execute supplier qualification activities.
- Develop, plan, and perform required supplier maintenance activities related to quality.
- Track supplier quality trends, root cause evaluations, and implementation of preventative and corrective actions and problem resolution.
- Lead root cause and corrective action projects by interfacing with all levels of the organization to communicate, problem solve and correct non-conformances of products and systems.
- Drives process improvement.
- Maintain a working knowledge of applicable industry quality codes and standards.
- Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Assurance and Quality Improvement policies and procedures per ISO 9001, AS9100, ASA-100 and any other quality related requirements.
- Manage and enhance the effectiveness of the internal audit system.
- Establish and maintain key departmental goals & objectives.
- Manage the process of documenting, enhancing, and maintaining effective inspections, tests, and calibration systems to assure product compliance.
- Establish and maintain a positive working relationship with all Clients (internal and external).
- Responsible for timely quality assurance and internal auditor training for personnel.
- Perform inspections of product to confirm compliance to standards and contract requirements.
- Perform contract quality review of all contracts, government and commercial.
- Provide technical support for government contract quality requirements, inspection, and conformance criteria.
- Support and oversee GSI, FAT, FAI, PLT, CSI and all related technical quality aspects of inspection and tests processing internally and with supply base.
- Govern all necessary portals and site links needed for quality functionality and interfacing with suppliers / customers.
- Develop, train, direct, coach, evaluate, and manage quality personnel.
- Maintains a professional office environment.
- Performs other related duties and personnel backups as assigned.
- Able to follow established processes and create new processes as needed to support the company.
- Task with need to work on multiple concurrent tasks/projects with strong analytical, organizational, and communication skills (written & oral)
- Provide leadership direction that inspires team confidence and respect while motivating team members in a creative and effective manner.
- Make determinations using sound logic and reasoning to identify the strengths and weaknesses of alternative solutions, conclusions, or approaches to problems.
- Communicate regularly with Manager to ensure that contract and customer deadlines being are met.
- Maintain a professional and organized work area for cleanliness, organization and proper location of product and materials.
- Support a safe work environment, using safety equipment, ensure safety equipment used in the areas is proper, safe, and used in a productive manner.
- Awareness of the quality of work being performed and strive to ensure that it meets company standards and expectations.
- Promote a positive culture and teamwork, motivate self and support others to accomplish important objectives in the work environment.
- Daily interaction with Manager and staff colleagues and contributes actively to achieving company and departmental goals.
- Follow established departmental policies, procedures, objectives, and safety standards.

- Complete Quality Technicians and Cell Leader Performance Reviews
- Providing Quantifiable inputs for each technician (both positive and negative) with goals to support the department.
- Ensuring quality technicians are 100% trained on their applicable procedures with 6 months of hire.
- Ensuring Quality has capacity and capability to meet the needs of the business.
- Internal Quality from receipt to ready to ship meets or exceeds 99%
- On time delivery from receipt to ready to ship meets or exceeds 98%
- Monitoring value added services/FAI/8130s/Government Packaging meets or exceeds 98%
- Zero instances of counterfeit shipped to customers.
- 100% Inventory verification in QAS and QC locations
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent work experience.
- Bachelor’s/ Technical Degree or related Discipline required.
- Ten plus years working experience in a military, aerospace or similar inspection environment is needed.
- Knowledge and understanding of FAR, DFARS, DLA, DCMA regulations and clauses is required.
- ISO/AS Auditor Certification
- ASQ Certification Quality Certification
- Must have knowledge of Microsoft Word, Microsoft Excel, Internet Explorer, Microsoft Outlook, ERP Operating Systems.
