Job Objective
To perform diagnosis, tear down, general repairs and regular inspection on company machinery, equipment or facilities and support total productive maintenance as outlined by Maintenance Planner/Scheduler and Maintenance & Facilities Engineer.
Duties and Responsibilities
Skill in using tools and maintenance equipment.
Demonstrated practical knowledge and experience required to perform preventative and predictive maintenance work.
Ability to read and comprehend blueprints, electrical schematics, hydraulic schematics and machine manuals.
Ability to work with minimal supervision and cooperatively on a regular basis with other employees.
Ability to maintain specific equipment on a Specialists Level. Skillset and Experience to perform tasks and training of co-workers on specific equipment as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
Judgment Required
To diagnose breakdowns or operational problems and make repairs in the most timely way at the best cost.
To perform assigned and unassigned routine operational checks on equipment. Utilizing predictive maintenance measures to trigger repair actions before equipment failures.
To notify Supervisor when major repairs or circumstances require immediate action or use of outside help.

Must be available to work overtime and weekends as required to meet the company’s business demands.
Exposure to hazards of machine operations and hazards related to hydraulics and/or electrical repair. Some exposure to cleaners, lubricants, solvents and other plant irritants. Dust is present in Buffing and Plating and when cleaning stacks. Temperatures are normal for the season but may be above or below normal due to the area of the work. The work is generally dry but moisture on both hands and feet is possible in some areas. The noise level depends on the area where the work is being done.
Uniform safety practices consist of safety shoes, safety glasses, and other devices and equipment as required. This area requires normal or corrected vision, normal depth perception and peripheral vision of 180 degrees and no color deficiency. Hearing protection is dependent on the area where the work is being done.

Job Objective

Duties and Responsibilities
- Repairs, cleans and inspects machinery or equipment in a manner which will minimize downtime and production delays.
- Temporary repairs are to be reported to Maintenance & Facilities Engineer for follow-up actions.
- Installs or assists in installing new machinery, fixtures, equipment, etc. and make adjustments as required to ensure machines are fully operational.
- Assists as required in preventative and predictive maintenance on machinery and encourages Operators to inform Maintenance promptly of oil leaks, malfunctions, etc.
- Performs a variety of other electrical or mechanical duties related to maintenance of equipment as required to minimize downtime and accomplish repair at the most favorable costs.
- Responsible for proper housekeeping of all areas in the Plant, especially in the Maintenance Shop and spare parts inventory areas.
- Comply with safety requirements outlined by TriMark’s Safety Programs. Work safely and report any unsafe actions or process immediately to your Manager.
- Comply with environmental requirements outlined by TriMark’s Environmental Policy and ISO14001. Follow the waste disposal guide and work instructions for all wastes and recyclables. Label all secondary containers properly, keep them clean and closed at all times when not in use.
- Comply with quality requirements outlined by TriMark’s Quality Policy and IATF. Follow Total Productive Maintenance Work Instructions.
- Responsible to perform his or her job functions in a manner that supports TriMark's mission, vision and values in order for the company to attain its strategic and growth goals.
- Complete documentation requirements set by Maintenance & Facilities Engineer. This includes reporting usage of parts and supplies, shift reports, Maintenance Requests, maintenance software system reports, shut down checklists, start-up checklists, effective repair authorizations and other types of documentation as assigned.
- Responsible for seeking understanding of instructions/direction from Maintenance Planner/Scheduler and Maintenance & Facilities Engineer when tasks are assigned and details are not fully understood.
- Responsible for the initiation and completion of projects and tasks as assigned.
- Responsible for the signing out of parts and materials from any tool crib or inventory storage location. Reporting usages to the proper individuals to ensure cost tracking and replenishment.
- Required to provide safe and adequate hand tools to perform required tasks. Tools are to be stored in your toolbox in a clean and orderly manner. Use of unsafe, broken or modified tools is prohibited.
- The individual must be able to work a flexible schedule, overtime and weekends when needed. Required to maintain positive attendance.
- To diagnose breakdowns or operational problems and provide sustainable solutions in a timely manner to support production and minimize downtime. To notify Maintenance & Facilities Engineer when solutions to equipment problems cannot be solved in a timely manner or major repairs or circumstances require immediate action.
- Electrical work and electrical troubleshooting tasks are to be performed within the individual’s qualifications and certifications.
- Use proper safety equipment (PPE) when handling materials and performing tasks that require the use of PPE. Inspect your safety equipment and replace defective equipment immediately.
- Handle all materials with care, make yourself familiar with what you are working with by reviewing MSDS’s.
- Do not disclose any information to anyone other than a TriMark employee about products, processes, procedures, without written permission from a TriMark official. This is covered in the Employee Manual.
- The position requires an understanding and compliance of Hot Work Program, Confined Space Program and Fall Protection Program.
