POSITION SUMMARY:
The Inventory Control Coordinator reports to the Inventory Control Supervisor

The Inventory Control Coordinator plays a pivotal role in overseeing inventory management. This position involves managing weekly cycle counting processes, yearly physical inventory, bin management, and handling issues related to sales and purchase orders. The Inventory Control Associate is responsible for ensuring accurate inventory records, assisting in freight claims, and supporting the efficient operation of the warehouse.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Inventory Management:
Conduct weekly inventory cycle counts, ensuring the accuracy of stock counts by reconciling them with computer-generated reports.
Communicate cycle count results to management for data analysis and improvement.
Yearly Physical Inventory:
Collaborate with warehouse and operations management in preparing for and executing the yearly physical inventory process.
Contribute to maintaining an accurate inventory record.
Bin Management:
Safely place inventory items within the designated bins, with a particular focus on the safe handling of chemicals.
Issue Investigation:
Investigate and resolve issues related to sales orders, purchase orders, and other inventory-related matters, working closely with warehouse management and Customer Service Representatives (CSR).
Freight Claims:
Assist in handling freight claims promptly using the online company portal when required.
Inventory Adjustments:
Manage inventory adjustments in the Navision system and send weekly cycle count reports to stakeholders.
RMA and Returned Products:
Oversee the processing of Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) and returned products, ensuring efficient handling and documentation.
COMPETENCIES:
Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities to identify and address inventory issues.
Proficiency in warehouse operational skills, including receiving, stocking, and shipping.
Keen attention to detail and accuracy in managing inventory records.
Ability to multitask, stay organized, and prioritize work effectively in a fast-paced environment.
Provide excellent customer service by addressing inventory-related inquiries and issues.
Adhere to safety protocols, including the use of OSHA-approved safety shoes from the first day of employment.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
1 – 2 years of experience in inventory control and warehouse operations, or equivalent Military or practical experience.
1 year of experience operating a sit-down forklift and order picker/cherry picker.
Proficiency in computer skills, including MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Knowledge of Navision is preferred but not required.
Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
