POSITION SUMMARY:
The Lead Installation Technician reports to the Installation Manager
Located in Landover, MD

The Lead Installation Technician plays a crucial role in delivering, installing, and ensuring the highest quality completion of our customer's equipment installations. Additionally, this position entails training and mentoring Delivery & Install team members to excel in their roles.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS & RESPONSIBILITIES:
Routing and Planning:
Plan delivery and installation routes according to the daily schedule to optimize efficiency and customer satisfaction.
Training and Mentoring:
Train and mentor Delivery & Installers on position procedures, best practices, and safety regulations.
Loading and Driving:
Efficiently and safely load vehicles using forklifts, dollies, etc., ensuring proper securing of equipment.
Drive a 26 ft box truck to transport equipment to designated locations.
Installation and Repair:
Complete onsite paperwork accurately, obtaining required signatures from management.
Troubleshoot basic equipment repairs efficiently to minimize downtime.
Compliance and Safety:
Follow and understand all company processes and procedures, ensuring compliance with safety regulations.
Utilize company-provided technology for inventory management and accurate recording of customer visits.
Equipment Maintenance:
Survey safety devices and equipment regularly, maintaining clean and safe work areas.
Take periodic inventory of parts, materials, and components as directed.
Training and Communication:
Read and interpret equipment manuals to perform required maintenance and service.
Comply with and teach safety regulations to Delivery and Installers, fostering a culture of safety.
Miscellaneous Duties:
Lift heavy objects (75-100 pounds), crawl, and kneel as necessary.
COMPETENCIES:
Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to provide direction to Install Technicians.
Excellent phone etiquette, verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills.
Strong organizational abilities, multitasking skills, and the ability to prioritize work effectively.
Self-motivated with the ability to work independently and drive team success.
Flexibility to work weekends and overtime as required.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE:
High School Diploma or GED, or equivalent military or practical experience.
5 years of relevant experience in equipment installation and repair.
Successful completion of an accredited Technical/Trade School is preferred.
Must successfully pass and maintain a D.O.T. medical exam.
Basic computer skills are required.
2 years of experience in driving 16-26 ft box trucks.
Ability to successfully pass a background check post offer acceptance.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Ability to lift 50 pounds.
Bend or twist body.
Use hands to handle, control or feel objects, tools. or controls.
Stand for long periods of time.
Keep or regain their balance.
Kneel, stoop, crouch, or crawl.
Salary : $28 - $29
