Position Overview:
Trimax Service Technicians are responsible for providing essential servicing of our customers' Trimax mowers, performing warranty work, and delivering new mowers; all while working in a safe and efficient manner. Service Technicians spend most of their time out in the field visiting customers and may be gone from home 2-3 nights per week.
This is a skilled field service mechanic position working largely independently and out of a company-provided service truck, performing at a variety of customer locations mainly in the southeast.
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional customer service both in person and over the phone and offer expert advice on necessary parts and services.
- Travel to customer sites to perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on our commercial size pull-behind mowers.
- Leverage your extensive knowledge and expertise to provide both warranty and non-warranty replacement parts and perform repairs.
- Deliver and commence mowers to new customers, including transportation to customer on-site, connection to the customer's tractor, and comprehensive machine handover to ensure proper use and maintenance procedures.
- Maintain accurate records of service visits, repairs performed, and parts used.
- Provide expert advice to customers on the efficient operation and maintenance of their equipment.
- Collaborate with the Service Manager to plan and schedule future jobs and deliveries.
- Support other areas of our US operations as required.
Qualifications:
- 3 to 5 years’ experience as a mechanic or technician in turf equipment, agricultural machinery, commercial-grade machinery or heavy equipment.
- Proficient in written and verbal communication to effectively interact with customers and colleagues.
- Strong mechanical aptitude with knowledge of hydraulics, electrical systems, and power tools.
- Excellent customer service skills to provide top-notch support.
- Demonstrates a sense of urgency, self-initiative, and the personal drive to be successful working independently or with minimal supervision.
- Ability to read and interpret technical instructions, safety manuals, service manuals, company policies and procedures.
- A willingness to drive long hours and be away from home when required.
- Must be 21 years of age or older; Possess and maintain a valid state driver’s license with a clean record and can acquire a DOT medical card as required for operating service trucks and for towing.
- Ability to pass a drug test.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Familiarity with tractor-powered machinery; Experience working on commercial mowers or large-scale turf equipment.
- Intermediate-Advanced computer literacy for managing work orders, CRM system and effective communication.
- Experience in customer-facing roles.
- Strong troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift and carry heavy equipment and parts, often weighing up to 50-75 pounds, and occasionally up to 100 pounds.
- Capable of performing physically demanding tasks such as pushing, pulling, and maneuvering large equipment.
- Ability to crawl under and around large equipment to perform repairs and inspections.
- Capacity to work long hours, including the potential for overtime, in various weather conditions (e.g., heat, cold, rain).
- Ability to drive company vehicles, including trucks and trailers, and operate machinery both on and off-road.

Starting Pay:
- $27.00 - $30.00 Per Hour (Based on Experience/Knowledge)
