ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER – Terrific Organization!
We are seeking an experienced and highly motivated Accounts Payable (AP) Manager to join this dynamic team and help continue to deliver outstanding results.
As the Accounts Payable (AP) Manager, you will oversee the day-to-day AP functions for this growing company, ensuring accurate and timely processing of all vendor invoices and payments. Selected candidate must have a stable job record and will have worked for a mid to large sized company in an accounts payable manager or supervisor capacity.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
- Manage the full accounts payable cycle, including vendor invoice processing, payment approvals, and disbursements.
- Supervise, mentor, and train the AP team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
- Ensure compliance with company policies, procedures, and internal controls.
- Work closely with project managers and other departments to ensure accurate coding of invoices Reconcile vendor statements and resolve any discrepancies in a timely manner.
- Develop and implement improvements to AP processes for efficiency and accuracy.
- Review and approve weekly payment runs and manage cash flow projections.
- Assist with month-end and year-end closing processes as needed.
- Maintain strong vendor relationships and address any concerns or inquiries professionally.
- Prepare and manage reports on accounts payable activity for management.
QUALIFICATIONS OF THE ACCOUNTS PAYABLE MANAGER
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field (preferred).
- 10 years of accounts payable experience, with at least 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Strong knowledge of AP processes, accounting principles, and construction project workflows.
- Proficiency in accounting software
- Strong analytical skills with excellent attention to detail.
- Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with internal teams and external vendors.
- A positive, team-oriented attitude and a willingness to help others succeed.
Target annual salary range: $85,000- $110,000 DOE. Benefits include Insurance, 401K, PTO and more.
