CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER (CFO)

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
- Develop and execute financial strategies, lead forecasting and budgeting, and advise leadership on performance optimization.
- Oversee financial statements, provide insights to senior leadership, and ensure compliance with reporting standards and regulations.
- Manage liquidity, optimize capital structure, and handle external financing to support growth and stability.
- Identify financial risks, ensure regulatory compliance, manage audits, and develop risk strategies.
- Lead and mentor the finance team, fostering continuous learning and alignment with company goals.
- Partner with executives to develop strategies, assess growth opportunities, and drive performance improvements.
- Manage communications with investors and stakeholders, participate in fundraising, and maintain external relationships.
- Implement and optimize financial technologies and systems to improve efficiency and accuracy.
- Analyze cost structures and pricing strategies to enhance profitability and operational efficiency.
- Ensure strong governance, assist with succession planning, and align the finance department with company growth.
QULAIFICATIONS OF THE CHIEF FINANCIAL OFFICER
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance
- Master’s degree preferred
- CPA a plus
- 12 years of experience
- A combination of public accounting and industry experience preferred
- Experience in a start-up environment preferred, but not required
- Extensive knowledge of accounting principles, financial reporting and financial analysis technique
- Willingness to get hands dirty
- Strong leadership abilities, including team management of small growing teams
- Ability to understand and contribute to business strategy
- Strong problem-solving, and critical thinking skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player with a stable job record
Target salary range: $190,000 – 220,000. DOE. Benefits include equity potential, PTO, 401K, medical and more!!
