The Job at a Glance
Our Field Service Technicians (FST) provide frontline assistance for service and support through their mechanical and technical expertise and troubleshooting. Our FSTs are the face of our company, in this customer-facing role you will assist our engineers with the build, installation, service, and maintenance of combustion equipment and technologies at our customer sites, primarily in the manufacturing environment. Our FSTs use critical thinking to resolve issues within defined procedures and practices to determine the appropriate action to rapidly repair equipment. Our FSTs operate within a team-based environment with opportunities to receive expert technical support. FSTs are required to travel within the continental United States to support our growing customer base.
A Typical Day
- On-site service/field support including troubleshooting, burner air: fuel ratio tuning, safety evaluations, and equipment calibrations all while delivering an exceptional customer experience (from your first service to your last!)
- Assembly and installation of burner management control panels and fuel trains.
- Effectively collaborate with customers, manufacturers, and internal departments regarding the customer’s technical support needs
- Additional duties as assigned such as working in the shop and office as needed.
To Land This Opportunity
- 3-5 years of maintenance experience desired.
- Industrial certifications and training are a plus!
- Strong mechanical ability - knowledge of any mechanical machines and tools, including their designs, uses, repair, and maintenance; you may not be a master but you’re on!
- Experience in CAD design software- electrical and mechanical drawings a plus.
- Electrical knowledge- ability to follow electrical schematics, basic electricity, and power wiring.
- You exhibit stellar math, troubleshooting, organizational & general computer skills, with impeccable attention to detail.
- You’re an All-Star communicator (written and verbal), with the ability to interact well with others (no zombies please!).
- You get excited about taking in-depth calls while maintaining a friendly and helpful demeanor.
- You have an outgoing, positive, team-spirited, one-for-all personality.
