Mechanical Engineer
Our client is seeking a Mechanical Engineer with 1-3 years of experience to support the design and development of medical devices. The ideal candidate will be responsible for mechanical component design, fabrication, testing, and assembly of mechanical systems for company products. The role requires excellent hands-on skills, a passion for working with tools, and experience with SolidWorks or similar 3D modeling software.
Responsibilities:
- Design and develop mechanical systems used in the medical industry
- Assemble mechanical systems following mechanical drawings and detailed instructions
- Utilize hand tools and measuring equipment for precise work
- Conduct testing in line with industry standards (e.g., FDA regulations)
- Design mechanical systems using SolidWorks
- Collaborate with clients to understand required features and functions
- Support management in maintaining quality programs
- 1–3 years of industry experience in mechanical design and engineering
- Experience with 3D modeling software, especially SolidWorks
- Exposure to MATLAB and Simulink is a plus
- Proficient in using machinery such as band saws, drill presses, chop saws, etc.
- Skilled in assembling mechanical and electronic components using hand tools
- Ability to read and interpret mechanical drawings
- Strong understanding of tolerance stack-up and its application in assembly
- Good written communication skills
- Mechanically inclined with a passion for working with their hands
- Comfortable with tasks requiring physical effort, including the ability to climb ladders
- Bachelor’s degree or higher in Mechanical Engineering
