Job Title : Financial Controller
Location : Valencia, CA / In- Office

Reports To : Executive Director, Finance – Orthopedics

Job Summary :
The Financial Controller manages day-to-day general accounting and financial responsibilities and provides financial accounting guidance to local management at all subsidiaries within the Company’s portfolio. Also manages the monthly and quarterly closes for the Company as well as financial statement analysis and other financial reporting including but not limited to headcount, capex, inventory. He / she leads the team responsible for all accounting operations, including inventory. This role oversees Treasury functions, ensures GAAP compliance and appropriate segregation of duties and is responsible for accurate and timely issuance of financial statements and related reports.

- Provides constructive and timely performance evaluations.
- Handles discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
Duties / Responsibilities :
Duties include on ore more of the following :
Manage the monthly and quarterly accounting closes inclusive of financial statement preparation, consolidation of all entities (including inter-company eliminations) and distribution of consolidated financial statements to senior managementReviews and approves detailed journal entries, for adjusting entries, accruals, and standard journal entries and performs eliminations, accruals and adjusting journal entriesDevelop and manage a team of subsidiary accountants or bookkeepers, ensuring critical deadlines are met while providing on-going training, coaching and guidanceImplement financial controls and be responsible for ensuring an effective internal control structure is in place for multiple business units and maintaining compliance with US GAAP Property of TriMed.Oversee financial audit engagements Expert on ERP and accounting system for all areas under his / her responsibilityManages financial planning and analysis and provides insight into significant account balance fluctuations Provides analytical and financial support to businesses within the CompanyOther duties as assignedRequired Skills / Abilities :
Eight (8) or more years of increasing responsibility and complexity in terms of any applicable professional experience5 or more years of financial management experienceStrong accounting and financial knowledge including reporting, policies and proceduresGenerally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)Experience with international subsidiaries / multi-national businesses required Strong commitment to financial accuracy and data integrity is requiredMust possess an enthusiasm for identifying and implementing process improvementsQuickBooks experience strongly preferredExpert knowledge of Microsoft products, specifically Excel, requiredStrong ability to understand and communicate complex financial conceptsEducation and Experience :
Bachelor's Degree or global equivalent in Accounting required.Master's degree or global equivalent a plus.CPA or global equivalent strongly preferredPhysical Requirements :
