This position will work with clients to verify and generate data making recommendation in regard to insurance per insurance requirements and pay insurance premiums. This position will also verify escrow analysis calculation for payment of insurance premiums.

Job Summary
The Associate, Insurance Compliance is responsible for verifying compliance and data within insurance and loan documentation. This position will work with clients to verify and generate data making recommendation in regard to insurance per insurance requirements and pay insurance premiums. This position will also verify escrow analysis calculation for payment of insurance premiums.
Responsibilities
- Acquire and verify insurance certificates/endorsements for new loans from agents, brokers, and/or borrowers as necessary.
- Secure flood certifications as and when required.
- Analyze loan documentation to ensure insurance requirements are met, evaluate existing coverage against these requirements, identify any risk exposures, and complete a compliance assessment.
- Collaborate with agents, brokers, and clients to procure adequate insurance coverage and adjust certificates to align with the stipulations of investment documents and established servicing protocols.
- Identify and communicate any discrepancies between actual coverage and the insurance stipulations outlined in loan documents.
- Successfully negotiate and document exceptions to insurance requirements as specified in investment documents.
- Input and maintain insurance information within the loan servicing database.
- Perform escrow analysis calculations to facilitate the timely payment of insurance premiums when necessary.
- Keep track of insurance expiration dates using reports from the loan servicing system and proactively request renewal certificates.
- Manage the payment of insurance premiums for escrowed loans, ensuring invoices are obtained and payments are initiated from the borrower’s escrow account or a specified client account before the deadline.
- Upload all pertinent final insurance documents to the document management system.
- Assist with the completion of property questionnaires for new assets being incorporated into Trimont-managed insurance programs.
- Take part in large-scale projects, maintaining progress in line with established timelines for project completion.
- A bachelor's degree is required, with a preference for specialization in Insurance & Risk Management, Finance, or Real Estate.
- 2 years of relevant experience in the insurance industry or commercial real estate sector.
- Proficient understanding of various insurance documents, including certificates of insurance.
- Adeptness at learning and adapting to departmental processes and proficiency in utilizing loan servicing software.
- Excellent interpersonal communication skills, with the ability to effectively engage and convey information to individuals at various organizational levels, coupled with an aptitude for active listening and understanding diverse perspectives.
- Strong capability in logical analysis, with a systematic approach to problem-solving that includes evaluating all potential solutions and identifying the most effective resolution.
- Exceptional time management skills, with a demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks effectively and adhere to deadlines in a dynamic work environment.
