Job Summary:
The Associate is tasked with the critical role of analyzing loan documents, identifying and managing triggers, and maintaining the Trigger Portal. This position is essential for assessing the impacts of triggers related to consent matters and ensuring effective portfolio management within the Commercial Banking Portfolio Management functional area.
Responsibilities:
· Identify, review, monitor, abstract, and analyze commercial loan Trigger Events, including those related to lockbox and reserve springing impounds, deferred property maintenance, Furniture, Fixtures & Equipment (FF&E) triggers, tenant credit ratings, and occupancy ratios.
· Collaborate with vendors and other Commercial Mortgage Servicing (CMS) teams, such as Customize Portfolio Servicing, Commercial Mortgage Backed Securities (CMBS) Asset Management, Real Estate Capital Markets (RECM), Multi-family Asset Management, Assumptions, Leasing, and Modifications, to address and provide guidance on trigger-related matters.
· Proactively identify Trigger Events, escalate issues to Asset Management Teams, and conduct necessary follow-ups to ensure resolution.
Required Qualifications:
· Bachelor's degree in Real Estate, Business, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
· 2 years of experience in Commercial Banking Portfolio Management, or equivalent experience demonstrated through work experience, training, military service, or education.
· Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to interpret complex loan documents and identify critical triggers.
· Effective communication and collaboration skills to work with internal teams and external partners.
· Detail-oriented with the capacity to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
· Basic understanding of commercial banking processes and regulatory compliance.
