Job Summary:  

The Director, IT Operations, Business Systems Analyst (BSA) specializing in Data Management & Operations will be an individual contributor and will be responsible for optimizing data processes, ensuring data integrity, and supporting the implementation of data management systems in the commercial loan servicing industry. This Director will be involved in analyzing business requirements, designing system solutions, and facilitating the seamless flow of data across various platforms. The BSA Director will collaborate with different departments, including loan servicing, compliance, and IT located onsite and offshore, to ensure data management & operations align with business goals and regulatory standards.   

 Responsibilities:  

• Analyze data processes and workflows to identify inefficiencies and areas for improvement, and gather business requirements related to data warehouse operations from stakeholders 
• Be an expert in managed data and provide thought leadership in transformative initiatives, translating business and data requirements into detailed technical specifications for system design and development 
• Partner with a diverse team, fostering a collaborative and productive work environment
• Communicating deliverables to team members, ensuring alignment with organizational objectives 
• Collaborate with IT and development teams to implement and test data management systems, ensuring they meet business needs and regulatory requirements
• Lead troubleshooting and maintenance assignments within the department, demonstrating exceptional SQL and high-level technical PBI skills 
• Oversee data integration processes to ensure seamless data flow between systems and implement data quality controls to maintain accuracy and integrity 
• Own and prioritize the team’s backlog, communicate prioritization and delivery of objectives with business partners, and manage project timelines, resources, and deliverables 
• Coordinate with internal teams and external vendors to meet project milestones, identify solutions for best-in-class data management, and consult on new projects to ensure operational readiness 
• Develop reporting to monitor operational health, lead data initiatives including requirements, issues management, and data quality rules 
• Liaise between business and technical teams, support end-users during system implementation phases, and develop training materials and sessions 
• Maintain reports and dashboards for insights into data operations and business performance, utilizing business intelligence tools for data-driven decision-making 
• Ensure compliance with regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR (General Data Protection Regulation), CCPA (California Consumer Privacy Act), SOX (Sarbanes-Oxley Act), identify and mitigate risks, and identify opportunities for continuous improvement in data processes 
• Stay updated on industry trends and best practices to recommend innovative data solutions 

  Required Qualifications:  

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Information Systems, Computer Science, or a related field
• 5-7 years with relevant experience in the IT industry  
• 3-5 years of experience as a Business Systems Analyst in Data management or data analytics domain, preferably in the commercial loan servicing or financial services industry  
• Strong understanding of business processes and workflows in the commercial loan servicing industry
• Experience with system implementation and project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, Waterfall) with teams that are located onsite and offshore 
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills 
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Knowledge of relevant regulations and industry standards (e.g., GDPR, CCPA, SOX)  
• Strong understanding of Data Management and Reporting principles preferred 
• Proficiency in Azure cloud fundamentals, Azure Data factory, SQL (Structured Query Language), PBI (Power BI), SSRS (SQL Server Reporting Services), data analysis tools  
• Advanced degree or certification in Business Analysis, Project Management, or a related field preferred 
• Experience with loan servicing systems and software preferred
