Job Title: High School Principal Secretary
Location: Trinidad Independent School District, Trinidad, Texas
Position Type: Full-time
Job Summary:
Trinidad ISD is seeking a self-motivated and organized individual to join our team as a High School Principal Secretary. The ideal candidate will be responsible for managing attendance records and assisting with administrative tasks within the high school office. Familiarity with the Ascender system and knowledge of PEIMS (Public Education Information Management System) is a plus.
Key Responsibilities:
-Maintain accurate attendance records for all students.
-Assist the principal with daily administrative tasks and office management.
-Manage and update student information in the Ascender system.
-Communicate effectively with students, parents, and staff regarding attendance issues.
-Assist with various school events and activities as directed by the principal.
-Provide support for PEIMS data collection and reporting (familiarity with PEIMS is a plus).
Perform other duties as assigned by the principal.
Qualifications:
-High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or training in office administration is a plus.
-Experience working in a school environment or administrative role is preferred.
-Familiarity with the Ascender system.
-Knowledge of PEIMS (Public Education Information Management System) is a plus.
-Strong organizational, communication, and multitasking skills.
-Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive information.
-Self-motivated and detail-oriented with the ability to prioritize tasks.
