Job Title: EMS Automotive Technician
Position Overview:
We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated EMS Automotive Technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in automotive repair and diagnostics, with specialized experience in servicing emergency medical service (EMS) vehicles, including ambulances and other first responder vehicles. This role requires proficiency in using hand tools and power tools, interpreting schematics, performing advanced diagnostics, and ensuring the safe and reliable operation of EMS vehicles. You will be an integral part of ensuring that these critical vehicles are fully operational and ready for service at all times.

Key Responsibilities:
- Diagnostic and Troubleshooting: Perform detailed diagnostics to identify mechanical, electrical, and system-related issues in EMS vehicles, including ambulances, emergency response vehicles, and related fleet equipment.
- Repairs and Maintenance: Conduct repairs and routine maintenance on EMS vehicles, ensuring all vehicles are in top working condition. Focus on addressing the unique needs of emergency response vehicles, including complex electrical systems and communication equipment.
- Tool Proficiency: Utilize both hand tools and power tools effectively for the repair, maintenance, and installation of vehicle components. Follow all safety procedures when working with tools and equipment.
- Electrical and System Repairs: Diagnose and repair electrical systems, wiring, and components, including the installation and repair of advanced EMS-specific systems such as emergency lighting, sirens, and communication equipment.
- ADAS Calibration: Perform ADAS (Advanced Driver Assistance Systems) calibrations to ensure that EMS vehicles have fully functional and accurate driver-assistance systems to improve safety during high-pressure, emergency situations.
- Vehicle Upgrades and Customization: Customize and modify EMS vehicles as needed to meet specific operational requirements, ensuring compliance with safety standards and operational readiness.
- Welding and Fabrication: When necessary, weld or modify vehicle parts to ensure proper repairs or upgrades, particularly for structural components.
- Safety and Cleanliness: Maintain a clean, organized, and safe working environment. Follow strict safety protocols while working with hazardous materials, tools, and high-voltage electrical systems commonly found in EMS vehicles.
- Documentation and Reporting: Accurately document all repairs, maintenance performed, parts used, and service recommendations. Maintain clear and detailed records to ensure vehicles are always compliant with service requirements.
Qualifications:
- Proven experience as an Automotive Technician or similar role, with a focus on servicing emergency vehicles or heavy-duty fleet vehicles.
- Strong knowledge of automotive repair techniques, including diagnostics and troubleshooting of EMS vehicles and systems.
- Familiarity with ADAS calibration and other advanced driver-assistance technologies is a plus.
- Expertise in diagnosing and repairing electrical systems and communication equipment in EMS vehicles, including emergency lighting, sirens, and medical equipment.
- Experience with diesel engine repairs and heavy-duty vehicle systems is highly preferred.
- Ability to work with hand tools and power tools safely and effectively, with a strong mechanical aptitude.
- Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and ability to diagnose and repair complex vehicle issues in a timely manner.
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced, mission-critical environment.
- Excellent communication skills to interact with team members, supervisors, and customers effectively.
- Flexibility to handle emergency repairs and service requests as needed to ensure the operational readiness of EMS vehicles.

Pay: $20.00 - $60.00 per hour
