What you’ll do:
Assembles fabricated parts to relatively large or heavy subassemblies or complete units. May set up jigs and fixtures. Lays out reference points, positions, aligns, and fits together fabricated parts of metal or fiberglass mold according to blueprint and layout specifications fabrication. May fabricate parts as required. Uses hand tools, portable tools, hoists and cranes to move materials, parts and assemblies. Follows all safety rules and practices. May be involved in safety committees or initiatives. Performs other duties as assigned.
What you’ll do:
- Mechanical fastening (bolts, nuts, hucks)
- Applies appropriate torque sequence and values (certified)
- Reads blueprints
- May operate overhead cranes
- May use hand tools to bend or form parts
- May tack weld
- Performs tack welding
- May require error testing
- Operates overhead cranes
- Trains lower levels
- May conduct NDE testing (bubble leak, dye penetrant, mag particle)
- Supports the delivery of new solutions for complex problems where precedent may not exist.
- Leads team by assigning tasks
- Assists in completion of all tasks to meet deadlines
- Maintains and improves quality
What you’ll need:
• Minimum of 4 years of experience
